Southern States Rescued Rottweilers, Inc. (SSRR) is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated primarily to the rescue and subsequent placing of Rottweilers that have been lost, abandoned or abused. SSRR is set up under section 501(c)3 of the IRS Code.  We are made up of a group of Rottweiler owners and fanciers from several southern states. Our primary goal is to function as a bona fide rescue organization. Our secondary goals include promoting the public's knowledge and appreciation of Rottweilers, and to distribute materials about the health, training and development of Rottweilers, particularly Rottweiler rescues.

A knowledgeable volunteer carefully evaluates all Rottweilers that are accepted into the SSRR program. All Rottweilers are placed into foster care until a permanent home can be found.  All Rottweilers are spayed or neutered prior to placing. We aggressively seek loving and permanent homes. We utilize word of mouth, personal contacts and the Internet to find suitable homes. All dogs are placed with a contract designed to protect the dog, the new owner and SSRR.

SSRR accepts tax-deductible donations from individuals, estates, and corporations. All SSRR representatives are volunteers and none receives a salary, including officers and directors.  As our organization grows, we intend to expand our efforts.

We are in need of foster homes! A foster home is a temporary home for one of our Rotties until SSRR finds a permanent home for the dog. A foster home provides the love and shelter for the dog while SSRR provides and pays for all medical needs.

Being a foster home is not easy. Taking a Rottie into your home, caring for him, loving him, and then letting him go to a new forever home can be very difficult. But, fostering can also be the most rewarding and fulfilling thing a true dog lover can ever do to support dogs in need.

If you are interested in becoming a foster home, please fill out a foster application
