Tate was rescued, along with his brother Trigger by SSRR from living in an orchard where they had no shelter to help protect them from the rain or elements.  He was taken directly to the vet for meds to clear up a few minor health issues he had. Thankfully, it was caught in time before it turned much worse. Tate is now enjoying his life in a home where he gets to play with his brother and a few other dogs. Like most puppies, Tate is a very happy boy that just wants to play and explore. Tate will be adopted to a loving home and family that will make him part of their lives, give him all the love he needs and make him a true part of the family.

Tate is a wonderful puppy.  He's a Rottweiler mix; his dad is a purebred Rotti and mom is a mix of possibly Lab and Chow. Despite not being born around humans, Tate has learned to enjoy the attention and companionship of people.  He's very sweet and affectionate. As a typical puppy, he loves to play with toys and with other dogs. He'll do best in a home with other dogs.  Tate is crate trained and also plays in an x-pen. He's being house-trained and will let you know when he needs to go outside; however, since he is so young, he cannot be expected to hold all day without going outside to potty.

Tate does not live with children, but since he is a puppy he loves to play and will do great with kids.  However, please do not apply to adopt a puppy (or any dog) if your kids have not been taught to respect animals.  These are babies and can be hurt by being picked up by their neck, or dropped, etc.

SSRR is extremely protective of all of our rescues, but in particular we strive to be sure that puppies are raised properly to avoid any future behavior problems. Tate will be adopted to a home where he'll get plenty of love and attention, as well as exercise and training—everything that is needed for him to develop into a socialized and well-behaved adult.

The adoption donation fee for puppies is $300 and is a tax-deductible donation to SSRR, which is  a 501c3. Tate is up to date on vaccines and worming. He is too young to be neutered and will have to be neutered when age-appropriate (approx. 6 months). SSRR will provide a flat fee reimbursement to be applied to the cost of the neuter.  Any excess cost (some vet fees are much higher than others) can be allocated as a tax deductible donation
