Ella is an incredibly sweet 10 month old female Terrier/Rottweiler mix weighing 44 pounds.  I don’t expect her to get too much heavier.   She always has a smile on her face and enjoys playing with her 5 year old rottie brother.  She enjoys being outdoors, likes going for walks and walks well on a leash.  Ella learns quickly (after watching the male rottie bring in the paper for two weeks, she took over the job)  and very food motivated so she is easily trained to follow verbal commands. Currently she is taking obedience classes and knows ‘sit’, ‘give’, “down” and “wait”.    She's house and crate trained and kept in her crate at bedtime and if left unattended for a long time.  She still needs to be coaxed with a cookie to get in her crate, but goes willingly.

We are not sure if she is good with cats buts she gets along with every dog that she meets – small or large and she gets along with children.

She can be mouthy when she gets excited (just like a puppy) first thing in the morning when she is let out of her crate, and she is leaning the “no bite” command. Overall she has very good manners and behaves well in the house.   When not playing, she will follow you around the house and lay at your feet when you stop.  She'd love an active home with dogs who like to have fun, too.

Her favorite toys are soft toys that she can play tug with.  When not playing with a toy, she is chewing on her bone (loves antlers!)  She has been known to enter a closet and bring a shoe or sock out, but to date has not chewed them.  Better to keep the closet door closed and not tempt fate.  She has shown no inclination to be on the furniture but will gladly follow another dog up.

Foster mom calls Ella her “Disney Dog” as she reminds her of the mix breed dogs in their movies (Benji,  Winn Dixie)   She's so adoring & lovable, all she wants is a loving home and people/dogs to play with.
