|
Hi, my name is Rio and I am one handsome hunk of a 4-5 year old male. I am a gentle giant or land shark as my foster mom calls me. I weigh 120 pounds but am about the nicest guy you will ever meet. I get along great with cats, kids, male dogs, female dogs, you name it. Even for as big as I am, when I get bullied by other dogs, I just turn the other cheek. I am good! I walk nicely on a leash and don't pull. I don't mind having a bath and will raise my legs for you to wash under my arms. I am neutered and up to date on shots and looking for that perfect home.
There are a few things that I have to tell you about me so that I do find that perfect home. I may not fit into some people's lives and I never want to have to move again so I have to tell you all my secrets so I find my forever family. I do not like crates and can't be crated ever. They scare me. It must be from my past but I can't remember what happened to me to make me afraid of them. See, I came to SSRR from my mom who rescued me from a shelter and I think a man was mean to me but I just don't know so having a mom is critical for me because if my new home has just a man, I may not adjust as well. I am definitely partial to women but love my foster dad and hang with him. Just a momma's boy for sure! Then my mom had to move to a place that wouldn't let me move with her so the people at SSRR took me in, thank goodness for these nice people. Also, if left alone too long I can have separation anxiety so I need a home that lets my family stay with me most of the time. See, I miss them when they leave so I can tear up blinds trying to look for them. It makes me sad when I am left alone but....if I have a sibling or playmate, I am ok to be left alone. So a brother or sister dog would be great to have in my new home with me. Then I am good! Also, I have to have a secure fence. I can escape from under flimsy fences so I can't be left alone outside or I might get out and wander. I crawl under them. I know, even with as big as I am, I can get out so I can't be left alone outside without supervision and really need a wooden fence or wrought iron fence that is secure. That would be ideal for me.
So I hope I can find my forever family that will never let me go again and will love me forever. I love to get lots of attention and want to be with my new family forever and ever! Please email my foster mom or dad and they can tell you more!
