About Koko | |
Koko is a beautiful, intelligent young dog. She has had a rough start and suffered some injuries which left her without full use of her front paw. But that doesn't stop her. She toe touches when she walks, willingly places it on your leg or hand when she wants attention and it works pretty good for digging on occasion.
Koko wants to be with her human and loves to lay in the grass and observe as you do your chores. She likes to go for walks , but spends a good portion of the walk checking out the smells in the grass. She has come a long way since she came to us. She knows sit, wait, come and down. She has settled down a lot and is working on remaining calm. Koko can get over stimulated at times and needs a reminder of what appropriate behavior is but she is learning. If put in a home where she was the only dog, we think she would excel. Her shelter information said she was gentle with other dogs but we can not confirm that. The perfect home for her would be with an experienced owner to continue her training as an only dog or a dog her size, as she forgets how big she is.
Koko’s ideal home would be with an experienced owner to continue her training as an only dog or with a dog her size. She cannot go to a home with little dogs. She is just too big. Koko loves lots of attention. If you are looking for a companion at home to hang out with you then she would love that. She is not mean or aggressive in any way, but can be possessive over her food.
