Hi there I'm Coa! I'm a young pup with a little bit of a strange start to life. Me and my other doggie brothers were surrendered to a shelter when my family was unable to care for us any longer. It was nice being with a family, but unfortunately mine wasn't able to give me the time and attention I needed. My eye was in bad shape and I had to have it removed, but do you really need two? I don't think so!
My foster dad has told me that my old family didn't teach me "manners" and that I will need to look for a family that has the time and patience to put into me. Whatever that means....
My foster dad is great! I like to play a little rough and he can keep up with me! He also takes me on lots of runs and we go camping together often! I meet lots of people when we go out and I love them all! I love them so much that if I get super stoked about meeting a new person, I jump up on them, which I'm told isn't the most desirable thing for me to do... but I guess that goes back to my "manners", which now that I think about might be a good thing for me. Structure really is important.
I love what I've been taught so far! I know "kennel" for when dad leaves, I only go potty outside (inside would be so not cool), I play tug o war nicely, take treats nicely, I don't climb on the furniture and I can sleep through the night next to your bed politely like a champ! I also do some cool tricks that make people happy! I know "paw" and "lay down". My rescuers were also very impressed with me when I kindly let a little kid give me a bath! And I love car rides, I'm a pro at those!
I think that pretty much sums me up. I really am a smart boy, and I'm on the hunt for the perfect family for me. If you have what it takes to love, care for and handle a big big boy like me, please let my rescuers know! I'm looking forward to having a family again, a forever family this time if you don't mind!
