My name is Ciarra and I did not have a great start in life. I’m only 9 months old and have spent most of that time tied out on a chain with no shelter to get into when the weather was bad and not much to eat. Somehow I became what they call a neglect case and I was taken to a great shelter where I quickly became a favorite with everyone there because I’m such a sweet girl.
Then a strange woman came and picked me up for a long car ride, that was a little scary at first because I didn’t know what a car was. During the ride she explained that she was my foster mom and that I would NEVER be on a chain again, I will live in a home with soft beds, lots of food and best of all, I will be loved and safe.
I’m learning what toys are and how to play with them, my favorites so far are tennis balls and rope toys. I will run around, throwing and catching them. I LOVE to run but I have learned I can only run outside, I bump into things they call walls and furniture inside and that’s not fun.
My foster mom says I’m a very smart girl because in only a week I have already learned how to sit, use the doggie door and to come (mostly) when called. We are still working on “off” because I love to jump up to give hugs but I’m learning if I sit I get hugs and tummy rubs. We are still working on walking on a leash because I’m so excited to explore new things I keep trying to run off to check them out.
