Oh Baby, Baby!!....this little sweetie will melt your heart!!
Calli-Ann was originally “Princess” when rescued from an animal shelter in Texas. Princess is Caliana in Arabic, and that was the source for her new name. She was surrendered by someone who said a relative was abusing her and their other dog didn’t like her…. so this “disposable” baby was dumped at a shelter.
Although the shelter staff said she was nervous and very, very scared, Calli-Ann has quickly bounced back from her bad experiences and is a typical, happy puppy…she has a natural tail and it now wags non-stop. She lives with four other Rottweilers in her foster home…she loves them and they love her! They all run and play and wrestle, and although they are much larger, she doesn’t seem to notice. Don’t let Calli-Ann’s girlie girl cuteness fool you…she is definitely a tomboy! She is high energy, but not hyper….she’s always happy to stop for cuddles and kisses, and she loves to lie by your side or at your feet.
Calli-Ann is approximately four months old. She is very smart and a quick learner; in fact, she was house-trained in only a couple of days. She will do best in a home with other dogs to play with. She will thrive with a family who is active — walking, jogging, lots of outside play, etc., and who will include her in family outings. Calli-Ann does not live with cats or kids in her foster home, but since she is so young there should be no problems with either.
Calli-Ann is ready to begin her new life with a new family who will love her, protect her and never, ever abandon her. She is very special and deserves the best life possible. The adopter selected will be one who will consider Calli-Ann a member of their family; not just a puppy….and if you’re that lucky adopter you will be getting 28 lbs of pure sweetness!
SSRR is extremely protective of all of our rescues, but in particular we strive to be sure that puppies are raised properly to avoid any future behavior problems. Our puppies will only be adopted to a home where they will get plenty of love and attention, as well as exercise and training—everything that is needed for them to develop into a socialized and well-behaved adult.
The adoption donation fee for puppies is $300 and is a tax-deductible donation to SSRR, which is a 501(c)3.
SSRR would like to extend our sincere thanks to Cynthia Barker of Southern Exposures Photography in Friendswood, TX for taking such wonderful photos of our sweet girl. You can see more of Cynthia's work by clicking HERE.
