Hi,  My name is Buddy, and I'm looking for my forever home!  I was found in June 2015 walking the streets.  I don't know what happened to my family or why they didn't come get me, but it is clear I was someone's family pet at some point. Luckily, SSRR volunteers found me a foster home to get me out of the shelter I was at! The shelter did a great job of keeping me safe until I could find a foster home, but I was sad and losing weight not being in a home.

My foster dad says I am the easiest pet and will fit well into any family situation. I would even be good for the first time Rottie owner. I'm gentle, get along w/ my 2 pushy foster sisters (I ignore them...lol) and am crate trained. I love being around people.  The day I got to my foster home, there were 4 adults and 2 kids. I made sure I met them all so they could pet me.  I'm easy to be around and will put my paw on your leg while you watch TV to make sure you know I'm still here. I love both male and female dogs, and I know not to get into trouble when my foster dad isn't home. I don't get into anything! Really, I just prefer to relax and hang around.

I'm looking for the perfect home that is low key and doesn't have many stairs. I don't get around like I used to, but I do really well on walks and love them! I'm getting back in shape after sitting in the little cage at the pound for 2 1/2 months!  I just need some gentle exercise and some food, and I'll shower you with lots of attention and kisses! I'm truly a gentle soul.

I'm Heartworm positive, but SSRR is treating me for that, and soon I'll be good as new! I will finish my treatment at the end of October.

I'm hoping to find someone who sees how special I am and how good of a companion I will make you. Please apply, and let's meet!
