Looking for a well-mannered, low energy girl? Then read on, because Princess may just be the dog for you. Princess is a medium sized rottie who is super loving, does great with dogs of all sizes (currently residing with a 95lb rottie and a 23lb mix), and loves to go on walks. Princess displays great indoor and outdoor manners. She never has to be kenneled, even when her foster humans leave the house for a few hours and currently sleeps on a dog bed in her humans’ bedroom. Her prey drive is minimal as evidenced by her disinterest in chasing animals in the yard.
Princess will need to be in a home with adults who are experienced with dogs in general and rescued dogs in particular and who are willing to give Princess the time and space that she needs in order to learn to trust her humans and surroundings. Her current foster writes:
Princess loves to go on walks and does great with a front harness. She is petrified of thunderstorms. She runs into the laundry room or under her foster mom’s desk if at work. After the worst is over she is able to coaxed out and foster mom has Princess sit with her. We’re not sure what happened to her in the past but her teeth are filed down so that leads us to believe it wasn't a great life. You cannot reach and grab Princess out of the blue. She becomes a little fearful and will warn you that she is uncomfortable but will not bite. Her foster mom has been working on desensitizing Princess as so she trusts her 100% but it took a little time to form their relationship. We want Princess to learn that a hand reaching for her isn’t always a bad thing. Hands give tummy rubs and treats! : ) Princess is a great dog and her foster mom miss her dearly.
