|
Beautiful Bella is approximately 5 years old, crate trained, house broken, and heartworm negative! This doll was surrendered by her owner due a hectic travel schedule. She is now living in a foster home with three children – ages 4, 3, and 19 months as well as two cats. She is loving and patient with all the kids, but especially attached to the 4-year-old boy. She stays near the kids but when play gets too rowdy, she removes herself to a quieter part of the house/yard.
Although her foster mom taught her to not jump on the furniture, Ms. Bella patiently waits for the kids to invite her up for snuggle time – such a smart girl! She is at complete peace when getting belly rubs and adores human affection. So far, Bella has liked everyone she’s met, but she is particularly fond of her foster dad and men in general. This girl is a social butterfly whether at family parties or at the vet.
Bella’s favorite toy is a partially deflated basketball and will play tug-of-war and fetch any time. She does the rottie rumble when happy – which is not a growl and shows no signs of aggression or resource guarding with any humans. The cats only pique her interest when the kids play or hold them. She is responsive to voice commands to redirect her from the felines and has never chased either one.
This sweet girl doesn’t live with dogs now, but has previously. We firmly believe with proper, slow introductions, she would enjoy other well-mannered dogs. Visiting small dogs accidentally entered the yard where Bella was playing, she was curious but not aggressive and did not even move toward them. Two small dogs bark at her through a neighbor’s fence and she completely ignores them.
Currently, Ms. Bella is working on her bikini body. We know keeping these big dogs leaner improves their health and quality of life so her foster family is diligent about getting those extra lbs. off. It appears she previously fed from the table and/or stove so using a crate during dinner time helps curb that temptation to beg, plus she loves being in her crate for some chill time. But when the kids drop crumbs, she’s better than a Hoover at cleaning up.
Bella currently is working on her desire to dart out the front door when it’s opened and walk well on a leash. It appears that she may have spent a significant amount of time alone so she’s learning all the rules and loves to please her humans. She does get nervous during storms and if anyone raises their voice.
Seriously, what is not to love about this beauty?
