Hello, my name is Skye and I am looking for that special home to call my own. After roaming the streets in a small Texas town, I was captured by animal control and ended up in the animal shelter. I have had a tough life, and until I was rescued by SSRR I had only known abuse, often very severe. I truly love people, but at first I’m not sure who is going to hurt me again; therefore it takes me a little time to warm up and trust people… but once I do, I am a very happy girl who loves to play…and loves being by your side even more!!
I am crate trained and house trained….in other words, I am a little lady. I love getting baths, and especially being towel dried. I love to be petted and will roll over so you can get my belly, too. I’m very obedient and just want to please.
I am currently living in a temporary foster home with two adult male Rottweilers and a cat…the reason it’s temporary is because the cat does not appreciate being chased by a 70 lb. Rottweiler, even though I really just wanted to play with the little critter. I have also lived with both male and female puppies and I loved those babies!
If you are looking for a very loyal companion, one who always wants to be with you, I have so much love to give…I just need someone who will love me in return and never allow anyone to hurt me again.
**Skye is a gorgeous, purebred Rottweiler, approximately 1.5 years old. She was a shelter favorite; in fact, the animal control officers reached out to SSRR to save this “wonderful” girl. She is heartworm positive, and has completed part of her treatment; she can be adopted and SSRR will pay for her final treatment. Skye is such a special girl, with so much potential, and the adopter chosen for her must be special as well. Skye has been through so much and only deserves the very best—a family who is committed and won’t give up on her…one who will love her, protect her, and never abandon her.
