About Abilene | |
|
|
Abilene is a very pretty girl about 2 years old. She’s happy all the time and lives for attention. She’s crate trained, housebroken, leash trained, really good for baths and even knows a few commands. She loves to go for walks and LOVES playing in water, even if it is coming out of the hose. She’s currently taking oral medication for the treatment of heartworms but takes it really well (she thinks it is a treat) and is something that can be done by her new adopter.
Abilene lives in a household that has other dogs, both large and small and gets along with everyone just fine. She should get along with just about anyone as long as proper introductions are made. She doesn’t like other dogs coming up to her while she eats, so she should be fed her in her crate or off by herself in peace and quiet. She’s fine with sharing her food or bowl with humans, just not dogs.
Abilene is great with her human foster brother and her foster mom’s 2 year old grandbaby. She sometimes forgets how big she is though, so might do better living with older kids. She’s a bit too interested in the family cat and acts likes she would chase her so they are kept apart. A household with kitties would not be recommended.
Her most endearing quality is how happy she is when her foster family comes home or talks to her. She wiggles her whole body!! She is just so happy and has so much love to give. Abilene will make someone very lucky!
