About Minnie Pearl | |
Minnie Pearl was born in the Fort Worth Animal Care & Control (FWACC) on 8/22/2014 on a hard slate floor in the crowded shelter. On 8/26, Minnie's luck looked to be turning around as she was pulled, along with her mom, brothers and sisters, from FWACC by a rescue group. Unfortunately, this did not work out well and Minnie Pearl's mom ended up back in the animal shelter-- without her. Word reached SSRR about Minnie and her family and we requested permission to take custody of the entire family. A few of Minnie Pearl's litter mates didn't make it but she survived and is now available for adoption. We are telling you Minnie Pearl's story so you understand what she's gone through and how very special she is to the SSRR family. We want to make sure she has the best adopter possible. If you feel that would be you then please fill out an adoption application.
Minnie Pearl has not been DNA tested by SSRR, but one of the adopting families has had that test performed on her brother Hank Williams. The DNA test say he is Rottweiler, American Staffordshire Terrier, and other mixed breeds. Some of the potential breeds in the mixed part: Sloughi, English Toy Spaniel, Smooth Fox Terrier Labrador Retriever, and Basenji.
**PLEASE NOTE: Young puppies are always lovable, but they require a lot of attention, effort, exercise, good nutrition, and proper training to develop into lovable and socialized adults. Please do not apply to adopt a puppy unless you are 100% committed.
