Living on a chain with only a small crate for shelter, Hope had a very rough start in life. This sweet girl was neglected and abused; her only value to her owners was for breeding. When Hope arrived at her SSRR foster home she weighed only 45 pounds, her skin and coat were in awful condition due to lack of proper grooming and poor nutrition, and she was heartworm positive. She was also very afraid of any sudden hand movements and loud voices or sounds.

Now Hope is a very different girl! She was treated for heartworms and has been spayed. Her skin and coat are healthy and shiny and she no longer shies away from hand movements or loud sounds or voices. She does very well with women, children of all ages and other dogs, but is still slow to warm up to men; she just needs to be allowed to slowly build up her trust in a man. Hope LOVES to run during her playtime in the yard but her all-time favorite activity is being close to her human family. She is house and crate trained and knows sit, down, off, hurry up, leave it and calm down. She does well on a leash in familiar areas but will still pull in new ones. I believe she just loves to explore after being kept on a chain for most of her life.

If you are looking for a fun, loyal and lovable companion, Hope is the girl for you!!
