Well folks, I came to SSRR by way of a kill shelter, and just barely made it out of that place. I really don’t know why my family left me there as I did nothing wrong. My Foster Dad agrees; he says that I am such a kind, gentle soul and he truly doesn’t understand why I was left to die.

I am a little shy at first, but I will warm up quickly when I know that no one is going to hurt me again.  Once the “real me” comes out, I’m friendly and affectionate and I just want to be by your side. I like to go on walks, but you can leave the marathons for those hyper dudes.  I prefer to get in the minimal aerobic activity necessary; my fastest pace is getting back home so I can just hang out with my people.  I’m definitely not a high energy boy…..in fact, “couch potato” best describes my activity style. If a couch and cable TV is your idea of prime entertainment, we are definitely a match!

Crate trained?  Well, yes, if I must go into my crate I will obey, but I really don’t like being confined.  You should try standing on all fours in a wire jail with very little room to move—then, I bet you’ll never make me go into that crummy crate again!  I am housetrained and won’t bother your stuff, so my Foster Dad says you could let me have my freedom in the house—and Foster Dad knows best!

As for visitors, I’m always happy to get more love and attention. I get along fine with adults and older kids.  I’m probably too rough around the edges for the tiny tots.  I sort of feel the same way about other dogs; large ones-good, small ones--not good.  But, the real truth is that I much prefer people over dogs.

If you are looking for a laid back and very, very loyal companion, I am your boy!!
