Dahlia is a little girl (only 50lbs) with a big heart and full of energy. She was an owner surrendered in Nagodoches, TX and spent two months in a kill shelter hoping someone would see what a wonderful girl she is. Well, we saw her and knew she would make someone a fantastic friend. If you want a little Rottie girl to snuggle with you on the sofa, with lots of kisses and that awesome Rottie purr, she is your girl. If you want a companion to go for car rides, take hikes, go for walks, she is your girl. Calm when you want it, but also full of lots of energy and spunk. If you are doing, she just wants to be there with you.
She is house trained and is learning to walk on a leash. She is learning to play, still doesn't understand chasing tennis balls but she is a fast learner! She gets along great with her foster brother Rottie and pays no attention to the cats. She plays a bit rough and is a bit toy possessive but her foster family is working on that. She loves to eat and gets really excited at meal time (she dances)! Dalia may be best with older kids, age 10 and up as she has a lot of energy and is very puppyish.
