About Rocky | |

|
Rocky has finished his training and is now in need of a home.
For the past couple of months, Rocky has been living with quite a few dogs, ranging from a Great Dane to a Chihuahua. He has learned social skills from these dogs. However, due to his size, Rocky will not be adopted to a family with small dogs.
Rocky likes to chase cats, but it seems more playing than anything. Again, due to his size, he can not go to a home with cats. Rocky lives on a farm with chickens, roosters, ducks, a goat, pig, and Emu, among other animals. As you can see in one of the video’s in the comments, Rocky doesn’t pay much attention to the ducks or geese that walk right by him. This is a tremendous improvement over just a couple of months ago.
Rocky loves other dogs now that he has learned how to play! He's great at initiating play now and makes all the right moves. His social skills have come a long way, that's for sure!
Rocky is a very special boy who desperately needs someone to commit to him. He's a sweet boy who craves attention from his people. He needs someone who is going to allow him ample time to decompress and adjust to his new surroundings. He wants to please and needs to know what is expected of him. Rocky needs a family who is going to teach him what it means to be a true family member. Rocky truly WANTS the guidance and to know what's expected of him, which is why he was able to give all the bad behaviors up so easily. Rocky is actually a super smart dog and caught on to everything very quickly.
Rocky is looking for his perfect foster or forever home where he needs a Rottweiler savvy owner who can give him a job to do to keep him occupied and engaged. He likes to play with rope toys, balls, and sticks and likes to explore his surroundings. Keeping doors shut and secured is a must with him. If he sees an open door, then he will want to go for a walk.
Fortunately, with his size, he does well on a leash. Rocky is loyal to the person who gives him the extra attention that he thrives on.
Rocky’s current trainer will provide his foster or adopter with phone consultations in order to make his transition into his new home much easier. If he is fostered or adopted in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia Beach, then his trainers will provide in home visits in order to help you continue his training.
If you are looking for a super affectionate dog that loves his people, then Rocky may be the dog for you. If you are looking for a funny, playful boy who's guaranteed to make you laugh, then Rocky may be the dog for you.
Rocky is house trained, crate trained, knows basic commands, and walks well on a leash. Because of his size, he will require an extra-large crate. Rocky will make someone a very loyal companion!
