Meet beautiful, sweet April! She is such a sweet, silly, little thing and knows a lot of things already! She is house trained and crate trained and knows "sit" and "stay." Also, April is a really smart girl. When feeding, you can place the bowl on the floor and tell her to wait. She will give great eye contact and keep it until you tell her it is okay to eat. What a good girl! Other things to know about her is that she absolutely loves her stuffed toys and balls, and she is good with cats and children, too! Also, she does well in the car. As far as sleeping goes, she loves sleeping under things, but we try to get her to sleep with us to cuddle.

April Mae is wonderful with all dogs but can get nervous with large groups of them at first. Eventually, she adapts and plays with them. She does well on a leash but pulls a little bit. We are working on leash manners, though, and she's so smart and wants to please that she should learn fast. She listens really well but needs continued off leash work as she gets distracted until you can get her attention, but for a young pup, that not suprising!

Some things April Mae still needs to work on are that she counter surfs if given the opportunity and loves the trash can. We are definitely working on that. At times she does some nervous barking around unfamiliar people or busy gatherings, but she does follow our lead and relaxes with a little reassurance.

Overall, she is just a wonderful girl, and we absolutely adore her. She will make a lucky family a wonderful pet.
