Rottchi, like many rescue dogs, has had a sad background. She was dumped in a rural Kentucky shelter very pregnant just before she was about to give birth. Sadly, only one of her puppies survived. However, now she and her puppy are safe and are learning what life is like in a loving home.

Rottchi is spayed and absolutely adores kids. In fact, she just loves to be with her people and get snuggles. She is overly sweet, affectionate, and is a total lap dog. At times she can be energetic, at other times she can be quiet and mellow. She loves her toys! Also, she's never met a stranger. At the shelter she tested fine with other dogs both male and female but has given chase to cats, so a home without cats would be best for her. Since having her puppy, she has become more nervous around other dogs at times, so slow introductions will be really important.

Because of her background, Rottchi can get nervous when her people aren't around. She doesn't like to be outside without her people and gets a little nervous in new situations or when there are loud noises. That said, she loves human activity, and did we mention she loves kids? She LOVES kids. Things we are working on are helping her with separation anxiety and grow more comfortable with her surroundings and new things that the good life has to offer. She has so much potential and love to give!
