|
This SWEET fella has it all—great looks, fantastic athleticism, and a bright mind to boot! Duke is intelligent and very playful for a 6-year-old guy! All muscles and cute ears, but he's really a lap dog if you give him the chance! He's all about the love and cuddling and snoozing in his crate. Duke is a big sporty boy who enjoys moderate exercise. Chasing a tennis ball and going for daily walks is good and a fenced in backyard would be great! This playful beefcake is a lot of dog (88lbs!), he walks really well on a leash which is a huge bonus for this breed given their natural strength. Duke is very well trained and socialized with people and kids (housebroken/knows lots of commands/nicely leash & crate trained). He would do well in a family, or someone who is a "first timer" and loves the Rottie breed. He's not a dog that is going to be happy being left outside all day, and he much prefers to be an indoor dog on a comfy bed and lots of toys--because he sure loves to play! He also shows a healthy respect for other animals, as his previous home had cats, goats, and horses! This gorgeous boy also behaves appropriately with children of all ages and gets along great with my 3-year-old Rottie girl! Unfortunately, Duke's previous owner was diagnosed with cancer and was unable to care for him, so that's how he came to SSRR.
Duke is just looking for his furever family to cuddle & love to pieces!
